INTERSPORT Athletics S.A, member of FOURLIS Group, is the exclusive franchisee of INTERSPORT trademark in Greece, Cyprus, Bulgaria and Romania. Currently, we are looking for an E-Commerce & Digital Manager, to join our team!

 

Role Summary

The E-commerce & Digital Manager for Romania and Bulgaria will play a pivotal role in driving the e-commerce & digital retail strategy for these markets. The position is responsible for overseeing and guiding the e-commerce teams in Romania and Bulgaria, ensuring alignment with the company’s regional goals and standards.

Acting as a key liaison between the regional headquarters and the local market teams, the E-commerce & Digital Manager will be tasked with delivering exceptional customer experience, driving online sales growth, and ensuring seamless collaboration across all stakeholders. Moreover, the role will be responsible for Revenue Growth of websites in Romania & Bulgaria.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and implement the e-commerce strategy for Romania and Bulgaria in alignment with regional and local objectives.
  • Analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitor activity to identify opportunities and make data-driven decisions.
  • Set and monitor KPIs for the e-commerce teams in Romania & Bulgaria, ensuring consistent progress towards business goals.

Team Management

  • Guide, inspire, and support the e-commerce teams in Romania & Bulgaria to deliver high-performing results.
  • Provide mentorship, training, and professional development opportunities to the teams.
  • Foster collaboration and knowledge-sharing across the teams to achieve synergies and efficiency.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Act as the primary point of contact between the regional headquarters and the local market teams.
  • Collaborate with marketing, logistics, IT, and customer service teams to optimize the end-to-end online customer journey.
  • Ensure the integration of regional campaigns and initiatives into local e-commerce operations.

Performance Optimization

  • Oversee the management of e-commerce platforms, ensuring optimal site performance, user experience, and conversion rates.
  • Partner with the analytics team to monitor website metrics, identify areas of improvement, and implement enhancements.
  • Ensure alignment with budgeted and financial targets for e-commerce operations in the assigned markets.

Localization and Market Understanding

  • Adapt regional and local strategies to fit the unique needs and culture of the Romanian and Bulgarian markets.
  • Ensure content, promotions, and campaigns resonate with local customers while maintaining brand consistency.

Compliance and Reporting

  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and policies regarding e-commerce operations.
  • Provide regular updates and detailed reports to the Regional Head of E-commerce & Communications, highlighting progress, challenges, and opportunities.

 

Qualifications and Skills

 

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in e-commerce management, preferably in a multi-country or regional role.
  • Proven track record of driving online sales growth and leading successful teams.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and align cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent understanding of e-commerce platforms, digital marketing tools, and analytics.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make strategic recommendations.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of managing multiple stakeholders across diverse cultures.
  • Adaptable and resilient in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Results-driven with a proactive and innovative approach to problem-solving.
  • Proficiency in English (knowledge of Romanian or Bulgarian is an advantage).
  • Availability for traveling
