Mobile POS Specialist

The Position:

Reporting to the IT Digital Retail Manager, the Mobile POS Specialist is responsible for the design, implementation, and support of mobile point-of-sale (mPOS) systems used in-store. This role ensures seamless integration between mobile payment devices, inventory systems, and central platforms (ERP, CRM), enabling efficient checkout experiences and real-time stock updates across the retail environment

You will be responsible and accountable for:

  • Configure, deploy, and support mPOS hardware and software on devices such as tablets, smartphones, or rugged PDS (e.g., Zebra, Honeywell)
  • Ensure secure and compliant payment processing (NFC, EMV, contactless, mobile wallets)
  • Collaborate with retail operations and IT teams to optimize mPOS workflows
  • Integrate mPOS with inventory and ERP systems for real-time stock management
  • Conduct testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of mPOS solutions
  • Support rollouts across store networks and train staff where required

Qualifications & Competencies required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience working with retail POS or mPOS systems
  • Strong knowledge of:

           Android-based POS applications and SDKs
           Payment integration (e.g., Viva, Cardlink, Worldline, Stripe)
           Mobile wallets (Apple Pay, Google Pay), QR payments,tokenization

  • Familiarity with PCI DSS standards and secure payment protocols
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field; master’s preferred
  • Background in retail, especially in apparel, fashion, or lifestyle sectors
  • Familiarity with REST APIs, ERP/POS integration, and mobile device management (MDM) tools
  • Agile/Scrum experience and ticketing systems (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow)
